If your Porsche won't start, we will send an authorized servicer to "jump start" your vehicle. If your Porsche can't be started, an authorized servicer will provide towing service subject to the Emergency Towing guidelines.
Should you encounter a situation that causes damage to a tire rendering the vehicle inoperable, the proper towing equipment will be dispatched to assist. Depending on your vehicle's tire/wheel specifications it could be necessary to transport the vehicle to the nearest authorized Porsche dealership for service. The cost to install a new tire onto the wheel or the second service call to return a repaired tire to the disabled vehicle are not part of the Porsche 24‑hour Roadside Assistance program.
Should you happen to run out of fuel, Porsche 24‑Hour Roadside Assistance will provide enough fuel to get you to the nearest gas station. Both the delivery service and the fuel are complimentary.
Due to the unique engineering of your Porsche, gaining access to a vehicle without the vehicle key could cause damage. Should a key be locked within the vehicle, please contact your authorized Porsche dealership or Porsche 24‑hour Roadside Assistance so that arrangements can be made for you to obtain your spare key or transport your Porsche to the nearest authorized Porsche dealership.
If your ignition key is lost, broken or accidentally locked in your vehicle, replacement keys must be obtained through the nearest authorized Porsche dealership and could take up to 48‑hours to obtain. Replacement keys obtained through any other source will not start the vehicle. The cost for parts and/or labor to produce replacement keys are not included as part of the Porsche 24‑hour Roadside Assistance program.
Service will be provided to extract your Porsche vehicle from mud, sand, snow or a ditch, provided that the vehicle is in an area immediately adjacent to a regularly traveled road that can be serviced with standard servicing equipment.
Should your Porsche vehicle become disabled more than 100 miles (US)/160 kilometers (Canada) from your residence due to a warrantable mechanical failure, you may be eligible for reimbursement of trip interruption expenses. This includes situations where the vehicle cannot be started or driven without causing damage and the local authorized Porsche dealership is not able to repair the problem the same day. Trip interruption coverage includes reimbursement for:
- Meals.
- Lodging.
- Car Rental.
- Alternate transportation.
- Trip Interruption can be submitted by contacting 1‑800‑PORSCHE option 1.
*Porsche Cars North America will repair or replace with a new or remanufactured part any factory‑installed part that is faulty in material workmanship under normal use.**This new warranty does not apply to vehicles sold as CPO prior to December 1, 2017 or vehicles with an existing 2 year/100,000 mileage warranty while still covered under the new vehicle limited warranty. This warranty is not valid if sold by any non-authorized commercial dealer or broker. If this vehicle is traded to a non-authorized Porsche dealer or broker for resale purposes, the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty is void.
111 Point Check
Vehicle documentation and vehicle analysis:
Keeping the Warranty & Maintenance booklet in good order is an important measure of quality. The on‑board and safety equipment is also checked for completeness and to make sure that the existing Porsche components are approved. The fault memory is processed as part of the general vehicle analysis. The mileage is also checked for plausibility to rule out that the odometer reading has been tampered with. Inspecting the engine for over‑revving is another key aspect. This will make sure that there are no early signs of engine damage.
Interior & Exterior:
Of the 111 points on the checklist, 39 relate to the interior. Safety‑related aspects are tested, as well as the infotainment and multimedia systems and every conceivable interior setting option. The vehicle's exterior components and modules create a harmonious overall look. That is why examining the body, paint, possible accident damage and other modules on the vehicle exterior is exceptionally important.
Engine:
The heart of a Porsche is its engine. Therefore the running characteristics, belts, battery and other crucial components in the engine compartment are examined to ensure they are all interacting effectively. What cannot be measured is the legendary sound of a Porsche engine. That is something which has to be experienced.
Drive system and underbody:
When it comes to the drive system and underbody, checks predominantly relate to technical aspects which are safety‑critical and of significance in terms of efficient and sporty performance. These include the functionality of various components such as the transmission, radiator, brakes, fuel and exhaust system, as well as the chassis.
Wheels and tires:
Tires are safety‑critical and transmit the high power of Porsche vehicles to the road or other surface. Checking whether the correct tires are being used is therefore exceptionally important. The tires' condition is also assessed for high quality based on selected features.
Test Drive:
The 111‑point check concludes with a test drive. During this, safety‑related aspects and typical Porsche driving characteristics such as the vehicle performance, braking action and handling are checked. Driver assistance systems which deliver a high level of convenience and safety also undergo testing.
What The Warranty Covers: This limited warranty covers all parts of the following components: Engine, Fuel / Cooling system, Power train / Transmission, Suspension / Steering, Brake system, Heating / Air condition, Electrical Systems, Body, Comfort Electronics.
What The Warranty Does Not Cover Emission Control Systems and Corrosion. (Refer to the Emission Control and Corrosion Limited Warranties in the new vehicle limited warranty manual.), Batteries damaged from storage, lack of normal vehicle use, or non-Porsche Approved electrical or accessory installation, Tires damaged by road hazard. (If you need further assistance, contact your authorized Porsche automobile dealer.), Tires damaged by premature wear, Parts that fail due to lack of required maintenance or use of non-Porsche Cars N.A. distributed parts, Normal wear and tear or deterioration of any part, Cleaning and polishing, Contamination of fuels, lubricants, or other fluids, Lubricants, unless part of a warranty repair, Air conditioner refrigerant charge unless part of a warranty repair, Glass breakage, chips and/or scratches that are not due to a defect in material or workmanship, Appearance items that are not due to a defect in material or workmanship, Any car registered or normally driven outside of the United States and Canada, The replacement of expendable maintenance items (such as spark plugs, filters, worn wiper blades, worn brakes, worn clutches, worn tires) when the replacement is not due to a defect in material or workmanship, The adding of any fluids unless they are needed as part of a warranty repair, Any car with an odometer that has been altered so that the actual mileage cannot be determined, Vehicles with total loss or salvage titles, Modifications not authorized by Porsche Cars N.A. or it’s authorized dealers, Service adjustments (such as idle speed, air/fuel mixture, brake, clutch, headlight, and drive belts), Improper repairs by someone other than Porsche Cars N.A. or it’s authorized dealers, Abuse, accident, acts of God, competition, racing or track use or other events beyond the control of Porsche Cars N.A., Components and/or parts that failed during racing or driving events (including Porsche sponsored events) will not be covered by the CPO limited warranty.
